    DOWNTOWN EVERETT OUTDOOR PROJECT Responding to the commercial needs of Downtown Everett, MA, we worked with an array of public agencies to plan and design approaches to opening up shopping areas. One project was to create guidelines and designs for the closing off of Everett’s Norwood Street on Saturday afternoons and Sundays and creating a temporary walking, socially-distanced plaza or mall. Related issues considered: control gateways, décor, consideration of waiting distances, social distanced placement of tables and chairs, canopies and umbrellas, healthcare and employment information dispersal, etc. Back to Portfolio

    Our firm has an extensive background in the design and planning of major sports events. Starting in 1993, we created “the look” of the World University Games in Buffalo, NY followed by designing “the look” of the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996. Additionally, Favermann Design created designs for the 1999 Ryder Cup Matches in Brookline, MA, the 2000 NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis, the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, UK and the Capital One Bowls in Orlando, Florida.     1/5 PHOENIX SUNDIAL In the mythology of many cultural traditions, the Phoenix is a long-lived bird that cyclically regenerates or is reborn. Symbolic of the Sun, it obtains new life by arising from the darkness into light. Its association with the Sun is reflected in its vibrant fire colors. Here the sundial's gnomon or shadowcaster is the red and orange Phoenix while its surrounding seven dropped yellow/golden feathers are hour markers. Back to Portfolio
