Back to HOME MASTERPLAN 2020 Esplanade Vision 2020 was a masterplan for restoration and renewal of the over 100 year old linear park along the Charles River. Mark Favermann was one of the major authors of the award-winning study. Staff from Favermann Design spent two and a half intensive years working on this plan with 33 other architects, designers, engineers and planners. Back to MP/SP

THE YORK SCULPTURES The York Sculptures were made by the English sculptor Sir Anthony Caro in the spring and summer of 1974 at York Steel Construction Ltd. in York, Ontario, just outside Toronto. Of the thirty-seven multi-ton pieces that Caro made at York, twenty-three were shown in this exhibition, which was organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston at the Christian Science Center Plaza. Favermann Design was involved in logistics, shipping between Canada and the US, site planning and sculpture placement. A master plan scale model was built prior to the outdoor exhibition. CITY OF EVERETT The City of Everett is going through a major revitalization. To underscore this, Favermann Design developed a best practices guidelines to storefront signs and façade improvements for city’s commercial districts. Working with the Community Development Director, the City Attorney and the Building Commissioner, our staff integrated the guidelines into the city of Everett’s Building Code. Back to MP/SP

1/1 THE TOWN OF PEABODY, MA Named for the father of modern philanthropy, George Peabody, the City of Peabody went from being a farm center to a major center of New England’s leather tannery industry. A design was created with the Branding and Wayfinding Committee that incorporates a metaphorical window and historic rosettes. 1/8 THE TOWN OF IPSWICH, MA For the Northshore Town of Ipswich, the historic Choate Bridge was chosen a town symbol. This is underscored by the tagline Bridging History that was developed by the town’s wayfinding and branding oversight committee. 1/10 THE TOWN OF WAKEFIELD, MA Working with an extensive community committee and Wakefield’s Main Street Program, a branding and wayfinding system was created as well as informational kiosks were developed and installed.
